Dr Bloom is a clinical psychologist with particular research interest in obesity. Taryn continued her research into weight management with her doctorate into appetite awareness in obese children and adolescents. She has been working with lap band patients for the last five years.

Dr Taryn Bloom is also the Principal Clinical Psychologist at the Sydney Child Assessment and Testing Service. She has extensive experience working in a clinical environment with children and families, with psychometric testing being one of her areas of specialty.
